Yes, the whole pack is 1000D. The gun scabbard linear and back panel have a different material but are still both backed with 1000D.

It is lighter then the MW by about 9oz

Good deal, significantly lighter than the EMR2 then. The Rambler would make a good compliment to the EMR2 for a 2 pack system.
