Two skills that are very useful for every traditional bow hunter (besides shooting!):
1. Make a flemish twist string.
2. Fletch an arrow.

Yeah, I agree! When I first got into traditional archery, I had stock strings that creeped and stretched too much. The serving size didn't fit with my nocks and some of the materials weren't conducive to my hunting needs. Building my own solved those concerns.

Building your own arrows is also very useful, especially when you're like me and you primarily tune your arrows to your bow.
