Looking to get a pair of Insulated Puffy pants but no clue what to get and don't want to spent a small fortune.
A while back I bought a Puffy Jacket from Black Ovis and love the thing. Really messed up and didn't buy the pants also, and now that they are done I'm looking for something similar.
The ones I have been looking at now are are the Kuiu Superdown LT Pant
Are there any others that I should look into?

Main thing I want them for is when sitting for long periods of time glassing in 2dn or possibly 3rd rifle seasons

I have Grumman pants.

Real warm.

Full zip butterfly zippers are cool.

I was expecting them to be way too long but they aren't.

Good mobility. I did lunges and some karate kicks when I first put them on to test that.

I have used the First Lite Uncompahgre synthetic pants for about 5 years now. They work good for me down to about 15-20F. I run relatively hot though so for some guys these may not be enough insulation at those temps.

Does not look like First Lite has these for sale anymore, i assume they will be coming out with a new version similar to their new version of the synthetic puffy jacket. If/when i have to replace these and I want to stick with synthetic I'd look at the Kuiu Kenai synthetic puffys. But if you are set on down insulation then the Kuiu Superdown LTs look like a great option. I've heard good things about the stone glacier down option as well.

The skre ptarmigan pants have been great for me. Another option to think about. They have reinforced/waterproof (maybe?)knees and butt.
