Insulated boot for low volume feet?

Really liking the solid reviews on all the Crispi boots I've been seeing lately. One thing I haven't seen too much on is how they fit compared to some other boots. I've got a fairly narrow and low volume foot that works with with La Sportiva Trango's and the Asolo Fugitives. But, I'm in need of some insulated boots for December archery on into predator hunting in January and February.

I've been looking at the Crispi Guides and Hunters as well as the Lowa Hunters. One thing that has me questioning the Crispi's is the lace spacing. As narrow, low volume feet go if the laces start out fairly close together over the top of the foot there's high potential for you to run out of space to tighten them down. Anyone with experience with these boots or others I should look into?

Side note: I always replace the insoles with either green Superfeet or the blue Sol insoles to help with support and to take up room as well as wear good wool socks.

Thanks all!

From what you said I would imagine the Lows would be a better fit for you as they typically run quite narrow. The Crispi boots are more "true" to size and width and might not hold a narrow low volume foot as well as the Lowa. Of course this is apples to apples, I'm sure with the right insole the Crispi would fit properly for your foot type and would more than likely be just (if not more) comfortable.

If you would like to try a pat of Crispi Guides or Hunters out for yourself I would order a standard width and generally the same size you wear in shoes. Try them on and wear them inside the house. If they don't fit or work for you, you will only be out what it costs to send them back to us. Shipping to you is free on BlackOvis.com so you would just be responsible for return shipping. I have the Lowa hunter extremes and I'm finding them a little narrow. No fun to break in either.

I've got a pair of the Crispi Wild's (older version of the Wild Rock - less rand) for my low volume feet. They are my insulated boot of choice and very comfortable. Zero complaints and actually seem to get lots of compliments as a good looking boot when other hunters notice them.

Also, they have been very warm for me. In fact, I don't think I've ever had my feet get cold in them - which is saying something for me - even in sedentary hunts and snowy activities down into single digits.

Regarding Lowa - I've tried multiple models and never had them work for my low volume foot. They don't cinch down enough for me, even with an aftermarket insole. Beautifully made boots though. Just a data point for you.

I have a 14 B width foot, and Lowas were way too wide for me. I ended up with a pair of Schnee's which I had heard typically run narrow, and they fit great. I also found that Asolo boots tended to fit my foot well width wise, but weren't quite as comfortable as I would have liked
