Looking for suggestions on some good insoles to try.

have some asolo boots that I like a lot but I feel I could use a little more padding especially in the ball of my feet then the stock insole offers.

I have tried both the blue Superfeet and trailblazer Superfeet models. Trailblazers feel great in some different boots but not in the asolo. Also tried greens a few years ago and hated them…….

looking for a low/mid arch with just a little extra cushion under the front of the foot.

Timely post... I was just getting on here to ask the same question. I'm breaking in a pair of Schnee's Timberlines and love them, except that I get some hot spots on the balls of my feet. I am looking for more forward foot support as well, so I'll be watching this thread...

With everyone's feet being different, it's pretty much trial and error IMO unless you go to a specialist. I've been using Superfeet Orange for 10 years now and have them in all my boots. They work very well for me.

I’ve got a bag full of insoles accumulated over the last year. Tried Superfeet, Sole, Powerstep, Lathrop and Sons, and Spenco. Finally broke down and tried Sheepfeet. They are the best for me followed by Lathrop and Sons.

I use superfeet in all my boots, but which one depends on how the boot fits and how much volume I need to fill (or not fill). I like the superfeet flex in most boots. I use the hunt merino lined one in my Colorados, but I think that one mightve been discontinued. Just make sure you research which superfeet insoles can be used in gore tex lined boots. Some of their models will chew right throw the heel lining.

Just ordered a pair off Amazon, got a solid week of use so far in my work boots. They are called "walk hero". Think they were only 20$......verdict is still out,so far pretty comfortable but for the price not sure on longevity.

Like you I tried all of these. Best thing for me was custom insoles from my podiatrist.

Still on the hunt……

anyone try oboz o fit or spenco cross trainer?

If you try the Spenco I'd be interested to hear about them. I wear their flip flops most of the year. Even had a pair stolen at the beach.

I just bought a pair of Lowa renegades that just don't fit right. a hair too big or something I dunno but immediate ball of toe pain when I tried them on. My last pair of boots were Oboz and so I grabbed a pair of O fit to stuff in to see if that would help.Helped a ton but something just not right with the boot and my foot. I'm going to sell the Lowas but the Ofit insoles are in my workbook and feeling good. lots of cushion where it needs to be. Keeps your heel in place and there is extra cushion made from different material inlaid into the I sole across the toe section/ball of your feet and the heel cup.

My issue has been the insoles taking up too much space to the point my boots don't fit anymore with them in. I'm still on the hunt for a decent insole that still allows me to wear my boots.

I have the same problem. I have a very narrow foot profile, but huge toes. The Superfeet Carbons solved that issue for me -minimal volume.

Thanks, I'll order a set. I think the added height in the rear of the insole was taking up too much space and jamming my toes forward in the toe box. I'll give the Carbons a shot.

The Superfeet Trailblazers work great for me in my Crispi and Kenetrek boots for my low arched feet.

I was on the verge of getting some sheepfeet for better comfort but I did not so I have zero experience.

In a previous thread a poster mentioned the Sole brand. That poster also said go with the cork. I did not know how poorly of a job my superfeet were doing until I started using the Sole footbeds.
The cork rules over the poly, I'll never buy the poly's again.

The cork version is doing such a good job that I have not considered any other brands since.
