Curious if anybody has a concoction for inletting “white”. I have a stock that needs some inletting and the stock material is black in color, so I’m looking for a color that will contrast this…
Thanks

when that happens I use my inletting gold, haven't seen it available in stock in a long time so who knows what happens next. heard of people running creams or petroleum with powdered dye and also heard of people using lipstick, I'd assume the liquid type.

not sure which way I'm headed when jar runs out.

Jerrows made inletting black “cream” in both black and red. Lipstick is the other answer Ive heard a lot. Looks like jerrows is no longer available. I have used it in the black color as well as lamp soot—but yeah, if you get a section thats all mineral streaking its impossible to see the black.

Looking around online looks like a lot of folks are using dry erase or sharpie markers—cant comment on that as Ive never tried it.

The stock im just finishing has a lot of mineral in it, the black was very tough to see. I used red lipstick a few times in those spots. It goes on thick though so gotta thin it off a little I found.
