Inconsistent bc

Well your first problem is right in your face....whats all this MOA stuff?

What is it at 500? Thats like your 500 number

For it to be that far off something is whack and its not the BC you are putting in.

What calculator? Go through the inputs it again

Yeah I am in moa, same same but different. Currently I don’t have access to a range beyond 400. I also agree it doesn’t make sense with a good velocity from garmin, good scope height (in ballistic app), and sds around 9 or 10fps. I use a kestrel, ab, and Revic ballistics

Checked all inputs today and remeasured scope height etc today all checks out

So what does it tell you the correction is at 500? And have you shot at a water line at all the distances or just hitting the plate somewhere. At 400 yards at that speed like many have said you could double the BC and not be a full Minute off. It’s definitely not a BC issue- I would shoot at a waterline and see where you’re at at extended distance- if you’re going to see degradation in a BC it’s going to be past 600 yards

Zeroed with a 5 shot group, zero is on

Going to recheck zero this week, if the zero is off even .25moa it could be throwing the whole thing off a fair amount even at 400 yards

That would make it off the whole way down the line- you wouldn’t still be on at 500-1000

If you are truing your BC that close (400ish yards), you will definitely see issues. I'd start truing at nothing closer than 800 yards, or you'll see some weird stuff happen at the closer yardages like you're describing. If you have the ability to shoot at 800-1000 yards, those are where truing really help, and then shoot all your yardages to verify, and they should match up. I also generally don't trust everything completely on my first truing trip. I'll be dang close, but I like to shoot at distance 2-3 times to verify I have the BC right.

The BC will also change sometimes on a new lot of bullets or a new barrel. Not substantially, but I will see some incremental shifts.
