Lots of great input. Endorsing the pursuit of high qual as possible used glass for binos only at first, abbe koenig & lifetime warranty is super nice bonus if you can get up to that price point.

If you don't have a spotting scope, borrow a friend's and stuff it in your pack to see if it breaks any strategies for packing or weight you are trying to maintain. Them bad boys is big
