Although Rokslide is mostly N. American hunting, Robby recently received a query from an African writer by the name of Linda Egbuna. As we can learn from anyone who hunts, he thought you might enjoy an article about what hunting means to the natives of the Dark Continent. Linda will be on this thread later, so please give her a warm welcome.

Linda Egbuna is a lawyer currently writing out of Nigeria, in Africa. She is the Cofounder of LawbotNG, a professional network for young lawyers in Nigeria, and a versatile writer. She loves sharing bits and pieces of the African lifestyle, but she is also crazy about black coffee, traveling, hiking and collecting stories from strangers.

Enjoy her first Rokslide article: In the Spirit of a Good Hunt

Welcome, and thank you for posting the article. I too enjoy black coffee and even more so today it while reading the article. It's amazing the commonality we all share if we take the time look for it and then recognize it.

Thank you for such a warm welcome...that too from a fellow black coffee lover..😊. I'm so excited to be here. It really is amazing...the traits we share when we quit pointing out our differences. Hope your day is going great..

Excellent article... Its difficult to put the emotions, sanctity, and societal feelings about the importance of hunting to a vast group of people into words but you did it. Thanks.

Nice article welcome to Rokslide, someday would be fun to hunt Africa.

What's your favorite black coffee brand?
Thank you for the warm welcome. I really appreciate it. I hope that African hunting trip happens very soon..and I'm in love with Nescafe..any blend... any day. What's your favorite?

Thanks for your kind words, I'm deeply humbled by them. I shared these emotions and feelings from an innate need to be understood and now, I feel I am. Thank you. For understanding.

Very nice. Glad to read your perspective. I’m headed to Kenya this year, of course not to hunt since it’s been closed there since 1977, but to travel on some of the same roads and ranges that were once major hunting destinations. Am looking forward to finally setting foot in Africa.

Welcome, and look forward to more!
