I own the stratospire 2 and it's strong, but not as strong as the scarp for snow. The scarp is a true 4 season. He told you the stratospire one was stronger than the scarp for snow?

We didn't talk about the Scarp. Only the lighter tents as I had explained I was looking for a compromise in weight/strength.

In a way, I am still debating it in my mind. Otherwise I wouldn't have ordered the Akto.
There are so many quality tents it seems a good compromise will be inevitable.
