I promised my wife I would not go in solo anymore so looking for a dependable hunting partner. I will be in the Steamboat area OTC this year. Not going to beat around the bush so I will let you no a little about myself. I have strong family values, don't drink or do drugs, not lazy, very motivated and have a 95% success rate. You must be in good shape and willing to pack in. If this interest you and you want to elk hunt this year PM or call me at 970-301-0706

Thanks
Shane

Shane I'm still trying to make the move out your way...If it ever happens I'll hunt with ya, but we might have to change the drinking thing, LOL.

Darn. I'll be filming my second elk hunting film all Sept here in Colorado. Otherwise I'd love to as I hunt not too far from Steamboat.

Maybe next year. Good luck this year.

Rudy

I am going to be in the same boat soon. My partner is running out of steam. I thought last year was the end for him, but we are back at it this year.

My wife hates that I hunt solo. I bought a spot 4-5 yrs ago and it makes her feel much better that I send a "ok" message every morning and evening. I also pay for the map feature so she can sit in front of the computer with the kids and see " where" dad is every 10 minutes. ( every 10 it posts your location on google maps)

I just picked up a Delorme Inreach. I think as far as getting help if you break a leg the Inreach would give you faster response time to medical help then a hunting partner having to hike back to cell service.

I hunt alone and with friends both have advantages and negatives. I think I prefer to go solo. Wouldn't mind having someone to help pack meat though...

Yep

I can see that and have had satellite phones etc. without zero issues. My wife and family mean a great deal to me so if it makes her feel better I am OK with a little change in the way I hunt. I'm quite sure my success rate will remain the same and if not I can always go back to solo.

Looks like I found a couple guys that might work out. God is good.

Thanks
Shane
