Do you not like the carbon mag that comes with it, or just looking for a lower cost option as a backup mag?

Both. The carbon mag is inconsistent feeding the last round. Spring seems weak. I probably just need to reach out to seekins for a replacement.

Seekins has incredible customer service. I’m sure they’ll make you right.

@Samson7x @Turkeygetpwnd38 @flashgordon what bullet/speeds are you shooting in your 6.5prc? I have a buddy who wants an element but keeps going back and forth between 6.5cm and 6.5prc

I was kind of in the same boat. But went 6.5cm due to already loading for it and having a large supply of 4350 and brass on hand. My other 6.5cm is a remage criterion barrel on a 700 in a Mcmillan game scout with a 3-12 LRHS. It weighs around 10# and is a joy to shoot but I wanted a lighter rifle.

Nice setup Brad. Thanks for posting. Hoping mine will dial in as well as yours did!. I've got a .308 on the way and wanted a flush magazine also but didn't realize Seekins was using the MDT. What's another $40

I haven’t chrono‘d my element but I’m getting 3000fps with 140vld in my 20” proof build.

So far so good. Put another 50 rnds through this rifle yesterday. There was too much snow for me to feel like getting on the ground so i just shot from the truck bed. It's been bouncing around in the bed of the truck in a soft case for the last 10 days. Shot 3 to check zero at 100 first and wasn't too surprised that the swfa hadn't wandered. Shot the rest of the 50 at 405, 582, and 748yds. It kept all the shots on 6" steel at 405. Missed a few at 582 on the 6" plate with incorrect wind calls. Was shooting a 12" plate at 748 and missed a few there too in the wind. I'm digging this rifle a lot. Makes me want to have an element in 22cm with

That 7prc looks good! Is that the srs rail in the front? I just drilled a couple holes in the stock and put the mini arca rail in front of the magazine. I shot off my tripod last week and i found out my glassing tripod isn't quite up to the task of shooting off of, but that's another thread. Lol

Thanks! Yes it’s the Srs. Running it with the anvil 30 head and doing mock shooting scenarios it feels solid.

I just picked mine up today in 6cm. Curious, did anyone weight theirs? Mine is a bit heavier than I expected, just wondering if it’s normal.

My 6.5cm was 5#9oz on my scale, so only an ounce over. I'd guess that the stated 5#8oz stated weight is with the 308.

What did yours weigh?

I’m 8.5 # with scope and bipod and rings. Forgot to weigh before getting all set up. And mine is the long action which is a little heavier.

Any of you guys that bought have a hard time adjusting to the huge palm swell? I like these a lot but man, that just feels terrible in my hand.
