If you could build any short action coyote gun…

I've been around a long time (78 years old) and have hunted alone since the age of 14! I've had groundhogs crawl off when hit solidly with a 222 Remington so don't feel really confident with my .223 on coyotes, although I do use it for coyote hunting. My go to is a 22-250 and prefer it for coyotes -- even over the newer hot shots!

Id probably build another 6 CM. Maybe a 6 SLR, but since im already set up for the creedmoor, thats the easy button.

With the fur market being in the tank, and probably will be for some time, fur friendliness is out of the equation (which opens up so many options).

So I have no need to another 22 cal. I have a bunch I hardly ever shoot anymore anyway.

22 creed sounds all good, until you figure in throat life. I shoot enough id probably be roasting one yearly, and I have no desire to re-barrel or set back a tube annually. Pain in the ass.

Coyotes are getting tougher, average shots seem to get further and further, especially in late winter/spring when its go time.

Im going the other direction and trying to talk myself out of a 7 PRC.
