If same price, swarovski 8.5x42 el or 8.0x 42 el range?

It seems you can find these for about the same prices. Would the included rangefinder offset the better optics of the separate unit? I am sure they will release an improved el range in the spring, but it am sure it will have an improved price tag!

I believe you should keep your rangefinder with its relatively short life separate from your alpha optics which are good for decades if taken care of unless the price is chump change to you and you don't mind buying new optic/rangefinders every few years when the newer technology makes yours obsolete.

Well the standard ELs have HD glass while the EL ranges do not have HD glass....so I would opt for the standard ELs personally.
