Identifying elk feeding habitat from satellite

This is really a question for both deer and elk but I’m curious, when you are e-scouting, what is your strategy for identifying if an area has good feeding habitat for deer or elk?

I typically look for features like elk feeding (exhibit A). Elk at water is also a good indication they feed nearby (exhibit B).

No trees means food. But there is elk forage wall-to-wall in some areas however, the elk prefer certain areas at certain times of the year. I know areas with great habitat lots of feed and very few elk. I know other areas where feed is kind of sparse but the elk love it there.

I give alot more weight to small pockets and windows of good feed by heavy cover than huge green meadows

Elk will feed in dark timber, so I'm not sure if e-scouting feeding areas is a worthwhile endeavor.
