Trying to figure out a way to pad this metal snap a bit on my marsupial gear harness. I’m pretty skinny so it kind of digs into my ribs with my rangefinder in there. Not an issue when I have multiple layers on, but for most of September I’m hiking with just a thin merino top so it bothers me.image.jpg

Issues like that I have done:
-stick on shoe padding
-Dab of black silicone (was mostly noise)
-Pry out and have shoe/saddle shop sew shut

Might want to try some Stealth Strips. Similar to moleskin but more durable.

I wouldn't pad the snap itself, I'd pad around the snap so the metal is sitting in a crater.
You're a genius. I epoxied some padding to the snap itself and now it's more uncomfortable lol

If you’re going to use sndmn11‘s idea, I’d try using something like these.

get either some felt or similar soft material and cut a large strip - tuck that in the molle and grab it at the bottom with a stich or two - then you have a soft piece between that and your body...and it should be quiet too.
