Hey guys,

I have recently bit the bullet and purchased an Exo 5500 for my CO first rifle elk hunt next month; I also have a Montana 600. Additionally, I have an AGC Bino chest pack for my 10x52 Minox HG binos. What methods do you guys use to carry a Montana GPS either on you or on your pack or bino pack, such that it is easily accessible and not flopping around while hiking (which it is if you just say, attach it at it's top with a carabiner or the like and clip that to a loop on a pack shoulder strap)? Any DIY ideas or maybe a method using an existing product for purchase; I'm open to all ideas!

Thanks for the help.

I have an EXO 3500 and AGC bino pouch. I used the FHF Montana GPS Pouch strung to the chest strap of the AGC to hold my GPS. I have also strung it to the waist belt of the pack. It is an expensive pouch but it works great. For security I put a lanyard on it just in case I drop it or the pouch opens.Montana GPS Pouch

I use a Flir pouch and wear it on my waist belt on my pack. It's a little big for my Montana, but it protects it well and does not get in the way at all. I think I bought mine from Optics Planet. The FHF pouch looks good too.
