Getting back to panhandle Idaho in late sept early Oct. how is the weather during that time? Should I bring insulated or non. I have a pair of Lowa hunter gtx 200g primaloft. Is that too much for time of year? Thank you.

Weather is unpredictable, I have froze and sweated in early October, I personally use 400g boots, everyone hunts differently

As someone else has said, weather can be all over in Oct. That being said, If I was going in October, I wouldn’t bring my insulated boots. I’d bring a good pair of non insulated Gore Tex boots. I also don’t wear insulated boots until it will regularly be in the 30’s. I’d wait until you’re a little closer and look at the weather.

If you don’t have non-insulated boots, now would be a good time to pick up a pair and get them broken in and then at least you have options.

I run 200's in October and find it's usually the right choice for me....but I never complain about hot feet.
