Idaho Man Gets Lifetime Hunting Ban for Roping a Bull Moose

An Idaho man lost his hunting privileges for life after pleading guilty to roping a bull moose around the neck and leaving it there to die.

It didn’t say if he was a hunter or not, just that he works cattle. For all we know he is NOT a hunter/fisherman so to him lifetime ban may mean nothing. Could also be why he pleaded out and agreed to it?

"Magistrate Judge James Howard Jr. sentenced Oldham to a suspended 90-day jail sentence, one year of unsupervised probation, and more than $10,000 in civil penalties and fines. The judge also banned the 39-year-old man from obtaining an Idaho hunting license for the rest of his life."

Definitely an immature decision, which a 39 year old can’t blame on being young and dumb. Glad to read the hunting ban applies to all states.
