Idaho Fish and Game ordered to stop killing wolves

What a shame. The elk and deer herds were starting to rebound from what I'm hearing. Looks like they'll be declining again now.

I believe the stop order is for inside the FCWNR only and not state wide. Hopefully we'll still be shooting them come elk season.

The only thing they stopped was hiring the guy to go into the Frank Church and kill them in the Winter.

I think "ordered" isn't quite the right word. More like they got fed up with fighting the hippies and gave in. To my knowledge, they weren't "ordered"

All Wolf seasons in Idaho are still intact and we'll still be shooting them every chance we get!

I didn't even know the Fish and Game was killing wolves.

They hired a guy the past couple winters to live in the Frank Church Wilderness and hunt & trap wolves. He was very successful.

I've met the guy, needless to say he's a man among men, anyone who can handle being in that country in the winter is hardcore.

That's awesome, but obviously they didn't do it as a covert operation. That's not awesome.

They are a state entity (division). They can't nor should we want them doing things covertly.

I also met a state trapper in the panhandle last year. He would not talk specifics but was successful in completing his goals. I don't believe he was in that area this past winter.

That really is quite cool. Shame the state biologists can't operate how they see fit.

Perhaps, but then this is why we run into so many roadblocks in this country.......because someone gets offended at every single thing that needs to be accomplished and nothing ever gets done that needs to get done. That's why SSS works. That's why covert works.

But I understand........covert in the wrong hands isn't good.

Trust and accountability is needed when operations happen under the radar. Government has neither and must be scrutinized.

Its is a shame we don't/ can't manage and just react to political pressures

I agree. Some things will never be understood by the masses and some don't care to be understood by the uninformed leftists. In reality the wolf is a resource and if it was managed properly hunters would have less ill will towards them. Given the fact that they are treated as an endangered specie that is on a collision course for extinction makes those who understand cringe and those who ingest hook, line and sinker what they want to believe even more hell bent on "saving" them.

It is just another scam of the left and another way to push the anti hunting agenda.
