Good afternoon yall. I’ll be headed out to the gospel hump wilderness at the end of September with my buddy who has an elk tag. I purchased a bear tag because why not. I’m curious about the possibility of running into any Grizz? I lived in Montana for 5 years and not new to being in bear country. Just generally curious of the possibility of Grizz in that area of the state.

I currently am looking at gmu 10 and 12.

That's quite a ways north of Gospel Hump. Portions of 12 are in the Selway Bitteroot but I don't have much to offer you for info that far north.

It's going to be pretty weather dependent. Weather and climate can be a bit different north of the Salmon River, so I hate to give you bad intel.
