Idaho ELK unit 30 early rifle tag

Hey everyone, I just drew this tag and was wondering if anyone knows the grizzly population if that is gonna be an issue? I am not sure if I can get a buddy to go with me or not so the grizz question popped up in my head. Thanks Mike

Agreed. I live just over the state line in Utah and you will not find a grizzly anywhere near that unit.

I thought it said Colorado too. Until recently we had unlimited otc tags so almost every thread was about a Colorado unit.

Very low likelihood of a sighting or encounter...but definitely not zero. They have definitely been seen and captured on cams near enough to the unit, if not actually in the unit, to know the population of griz in the unit probably isn't zero.

You'll be fine! They're big animals that just lumber around - blundering into one before you see it? No way...
