Idaho elk: the NR draw

So I went to check the results this afternoon and couldn’t find my results. I applied as a group and I know I saw the application successfully submitted screen after selecting our 3 choices. I called and they said there was no application submitted for my account. I’m sick that I missed out on the draw, spent the money on the license and feel like an idiot…but I just heard of one other guy that had the exact same thing happen.

Anyone else experience this?

They sent confirmation emails after you submitted the apps.

Always, always, always get documentation of your application, and then re-log in at least 3 times to confirm your application shows and with the correct hunt numbers, and then log in again days later just before the deadline to again confirm. Shortly after the deadline and before the results are posted, log in again to make sure everything is right.

Yes…hard lesson learned for sure. I thought for sure I took a screenshot of the confirmation screen but can’t find it now. You can bet I won’t do that again.

No luck for deer or elk in this draw. Will try again in the secondary draw if there are even any tags left. Thought i had some super high tag number picks but apparently that wasnt enough.

Curious if anyone was successful for anything other than their 1st choice? If you didn’t draw your first did anyone get anything further down the line.

I’ve seen one person in all the posts I’ve read on numerous sites that said they drew their secon choice, everyone else said first that said.

Yes…hard lesson learned for sure. I thought for sure I took a screenshot of the confirmation screen but can’t find it now. You can bet I won’t do that again.

Even a screenshot isn’t sufficient in my opinion, as they can be created and edited with photoshop. An email from IDFG is hard evidence and may have resulted in a license refund or possibly even a hold on a tag that was headed to the 2nd draw.

It’s interesting how many people either got both a deer and elk tag or they got neither one. I’ve seen more of those responses than people saying they got one or the other.
