Hey all, I drew a muzzleloader deer controlled tag for Idaho that runs late November to early December. It includes Units 29 and 37A. I tried reading through any old posts on this but let me know if you think I missed something. Would anyone be willing to PM to help me get started and just point me in the general right direction? I am not looking for people to divulge hunting spots but would love some help from anyone that is willing.
I have hunted once before in Idaho and found someone on this site that was very helpful. They did not give away any hunting spots but helped talk me through some basics and pointed me in the right direction. I then spent hours and days obsessing on my own, doing research, calling multiple times to talk to game wardens and biologists and ended up picking a spot all on my own and had the hunt of a lifetime and then took my dad back there a few years later and was able to share the experience with him. One of my reflections after the hunt was that I wondered if I could improve my hunting experience in my home state of Washington if I put as much focus and effort as I did into finding a spot in Idaho. I put in so much work for Idaho and have started to have that same mentality for my home state even if it may be more challenging. Again, I am not asking for anyone to post openly but am hoping to get a PM conversation started to see if anyone is willing to engage in the private message forum. I am sorry if anything I have said is too specific. Its hard to know the balance.
