A few changes in the area that I hunt. Not a fan of eliminating the Weiser B tag elk quota. No real big changes for muleys in that area that I noticed.

Open season on lions, presumably to help out deer and elk numbers. At the same time, adding thousands of doe and cow elk tags with longer seasons. Seems counterproductive, but I suspect my comments will be ignored....

I don’t understand why they want to kill more does in 39. The existing hunts, general and controlled, provide a ton of opportunities.

I'm confused on that.

I like anterless elk going to a draw up north.

I'll be interested to see if the year round cougar hunt actually happens

Increasing wt buck harvest in 8A and 10A is surprising. Maybe the tooth collection data from the last few years showed good numbers.

I’m also surprised that they want to reduce harvest in unit 1, given that CWD was recently detected there.

I wonder what the outfitters think of reducing Salmon B tags.
I’m sure they won’t be happy!!

I hunted there last year, probably hunted that unit 4 years of the last 8-9. Not my first time in there and i think we’ve only come out empty once. I will say this last year was by far the toughest hunt we had. Instead of herds of 15-30 we were seeing 2-5 per herd. I think it would be a good move to drop this unit from the others and lower the tags in there.

I’d like to see an archery opportunity in 28 and B tags adjusted as needed to accommodate. It’ll be interesting to see how 36B does if it is pulled from the B tag.

The videos on IDFG say the fawn weights and thus recruitment is low, so I'd imagine that's their reason. I'm not sure how loss of habitat is affecting overall carrying capacity, but I don't feel like the deer in 39 are struggling because of lack of feed.
