I decided to take a little time off from work and head to Boise ID to check on my Mom and do a little fishing, then go on to Twisp Washington to check on my Aunt and fish a little there as well. So i loaded up the wife and kids last Wed morning and headed out. got to the Middle Fork with everyone and when we went to leave my truck would not crank. (09 f250) so had to tow it to the shop and spend 1000 on new fuel pump and filters. Once we got it back we made plans on going back or hitting the Boise river later that evening and wouldn't you know the truck did the same thing, get in and it will not crank. think it is do to the high heat. been over 100 in the afternoons.
so not much fishing yet. the plan was to leave on monday to hit the second leg of the trip. but need to get the truck back in the shop. do not want to be stuck someplace with the kids and not have the truck working.
guess it is better to get the bad luck out of the way before hunting season anyway.
