What do you use for water filtration?

I use a Platipus gravity bag but it is altered for weight.
I cut the hose down in length, discard the rubber end pieces off the filter, toss the clean bag and all the other accessories that come with it.

That's about it. Just spare batteries for the headlamp however, thats not a bad idea. if you think about what could happen.

Yes I take several different fire starters. 2 knives and three headlamps. I got lost one night when my headlamp got wet and shorted out. Now I carry two black diamond waterproof headlamps and one Petzl e light.

There are a few things I take 2 of in my pack.

1) Headlamps. Id rather have a spare headlamp ready to go than to switch batteries

2) Knives. I take one fixed blade and one Havalon

3) Fire starters. Either two lighters, or one lighter and one flint/magnesium


Anyone else double up on anything?

For long backpack hunts (8-10+ days)...

3 extra broadheads and 1-2 arrows, or 6-9 rounds
