2 of several mouth reeds, 2 headlamps, 2 lighters, 2 knives and this is a big one. 2 GPS. I have an In Reach but still have my old 60CSX that goes with just in case. These are 2 of everything in my pack.

In my truck I have an extra pack, an extra sleeping bag, pad, arrows, broadheads, range finder, binos, release, bow, quiver etc. It's a shorter distance to the truck, than the nearest archery shop, or Sportsman's if something goes awry. Most of having 2 is a result of upgrades.

Most of the above plus 2 space blankets, 2 cameras (phone + small digital w high zoom). GPS/spare batteries plus compass, map. Backups for what I'm wearing: bootlaces, calls, thicker gloves, warm hat or ear band, spare prescription glasses or sunglasses, dry socks, neck gaiter, insulating layer. Spare vehicle key either on me or retrievable on vehicle.

There are a few things I take 2 of in my pack.

1) Headlamps. Id rather have a spare headlamp ready to go than to switch batteries

2) Knives. I take one fixed blade and one Havalon

3) Fire starters. Either two lighters, or one lighter and one flint/magnesium

Anyone else double up on anything?

I put one of those e lights in my possibles bag. They are almost weightless and the battery lasts forever.

I have a Havalon and a skeletool.

I have a fire stick and a lighter.

I have a gps, cell phone and delorme.

I do the knives, head lamps, water purification, GPS, firestarter, and batteries for everything I carry..I also carry regular paper and wipes so does that count as of 2 something?

Yep on the knives, yep on the headlamps, at least 2 pair of gloves and 2 pair of boots. I got a drawer full of one of a kind gloves. At least one compass and one GPS and definitely extra batteries. At least 2 types of head gear but more likely 3 or 4.

All this in your day back?! Or is this for a 10 day excursion?

Two truck keys. One on me and one wired to the truck or under a nearby rock.
Yep. I always have two sets of truck keys. One with my and the other goes to who ever is with me.

If I am going overnight for a few days, I normally have two ways to purify water and an extra hat and pair of gloves in my pack.
