I need some AR expertise

As you should love the SFAR! That and POF's small-frame AR-10 designs are incredible. If it weren't for this place, I'd own one.

After all, every discerning shooter/hunter knows that all one needs to kill anything at gentlemanly distances is a .223 Tikka stuffed with 77-grain TMKs. As a result, the big stuff has lost its appeal. Now I use a .22LR for plinking, .17 HMR up to elk, and the .223 from elk to blue whales. Works like a charm.

I'll be honest I've shot a lot of AR10s over the years and well over 200 15's I still find myself going back to my LMT for everything just something about the feel accuracy and ability to swap my barrel and caliber in about 2 minutes that's wonderful.

My SFAR has turned into a sub MOA rifle with only some minor mods. I put a truely adjustable gas block on it, which eliminated any feeding issues as well as any contact issues with the handguard. I also put a flat spring in the buffer. It's a fantastic rifle, especially for the money.
