I need a hunt…

Get a good camera. Pick a great elk unit and go call in some bulls. Might piss off tag holders but they can get over it.

So you can hunt OTC deer in Washington....?
I understand not agreeing with the politics but I would give my left nut to be able to hunt deer OTC every year.
Do you not live in a state that has OTC? Could hunt deer, elk, and javi's every year at least and keep both of 'em.

Although according to a quick and un-fact-checked google search you could sell the left one for about $30k. Now you got me thinking, I only need one, right??

To the OP, if I had $7k to blow I'd probably do Coues/Gould's in Mexico or a boat based trip in Alaska for blacktail or black bear or both. Either of those combination hunts should be right around your budget all in and pretty awesome experiences. But at that price point you should be able to hunt just about anywhere in the L48 and have a good time.

Jesus guys are sure bitter about not drawing tags lol dude just wants a quality hunt...WA typically doesnt fit that discription..get over it..

7-10k can get you a tag, NM,CO,AK,ID,Canada & midwest whitetails pending the state...you wont get B&C quality as thats another price jump but ya never know...just gotta decide what ya wana hunt ! Id go quality whitetails myself

Wow, I didn’t expect some of these nasty comments. I’m not a lazy hunter, I just have done enough OTC hunts in my life that I don’t have a desire anymore to hunt with the masses for small deer or elk. I’ve killed plenty. I’ve lived in Alaska and got all my guide species by myself. I’ve killed archery elk solo in Wyoming. Had some amazing outdoor experiences in my life.

I’m at a point in my life that getting out is a lot harder than it use to be. Time is a premium. I get maybe 2 weeks a year that I can get out and hunt. I want to make the most of it. Often it’s solo. I’m getting older and am a year out on bilateral hip replacements. I just want a quality hunt and if I gotta pay some money to get one, well I’ve worked hard to be able to do that.

Sorry if my post came off as lazy. Just looking for some advice or some ideas, maybe some things I haven’t thought of. I was in a rush and probably could have written my OP better. I appreciate those that took the time to write a thoughtful response.
Like I said I'm in the same boat. Instead of dropping $1k or more on out of state hunting I decided to buy a 1/4 beef this year.
After the crap show that was modern rifle over in Winthrop last year I decided to focus on bears and save up points for Colorado.
I mainly hunt solo in Washington but I'm fortunate to have a hunting camp in Colorado with friends.
I'm fine with drawing a 3rd season rifle deer tag every few years.

My dream hunt is a guided mule deer and or elk hunt in Washington.

I applied in Wyoming, Arizona, Idaho, Utah and Oregon this year and have nothing to show for it. I live in Washington and refuse to buy a hunting license in this state.

I’ve always hunting DIY and never bought a tag. However, I’m so frustrated with not having a tag, I’m looking at other options at this point. I’m willing to spend up to $7-8000 to either buy a tag or hire an outfitter for elk, deer, and antelope.

If anyone has any ideas or advice on this, I’m all ears.

Thanks

I’m just glad I get tags with my license…
I would not be well if I couldn’t hunt whenever I wanted

I was looking into Texas axis hunts after not drawing. Or CO OTC or even a guided landowner cow elk in NM
