He finally wanted to go out. Took him to my buddy's family property, put a grunt out and about 45 mins after sunrise he appeared, probably about 75 yards out. He didn't account for bullet rise at that distance, and it almost was a completely frontal shot, slightly quartered towards and ended up necking him right where the neck meets the back. Last day of the season and we hunted really hard on public land until that day. Dropped him where he stood. I was shocked. Hes hooked now and is already describing symptoms of buck fever for the coming season.What a great memory, congrats to your brother. Is he an adult onset hunter?
