I bought the Zeiss Victory Range Finder 10x45 discontinued model

Does anyone have experience with the discontinued model?. There are a few new ones out there at EuroOptics deeply discounted. For $1800 did I do the right thing?

I had one for awhile. Eventually gave it to one of my sons. I had no complaints, optics were excellent. Under ideal conditions it would range out to 2000 yards.
