Does anyone have experience with huntworth clothing? I'm looking for a good set of hunting pants. I'm a southeast whitetail hunter. I'm looking for a lightweight and probably a midweight pair of pants. Looking for something durable yet quite and would like something that has somekind of water resistance but not wanting a rain suit, just don't like to have a wet butt from sitting on a damp seat in the mornings.

It's excellent. It's not mountain hunting clothing like some other brands, but it's pretty darn close. I find the value/dollar equation to be great. If you're doing regular woods or stand hunting, it's exactly what you want. Their 'heat boost' line is warm as hell.

I don’t have a ton of experience with it but my dad has the Elkins from them and I can’t see much difference it in, and my Sitka Straus. Both seem well made. Ones just half the cost. Although I didnt pay full price for my Sitka. I buy used or on sale.

Huntworth has some crazy good deals through the year. Keep an eye out for them

I ordered a pair of midweight pants. It's not the Elkins but I don't remember the name of it. It was on clearance and I decided to give them a try. I ordered a pair of wrangler cargo pants for my light pants. They are not cotton and claim to be a little water repellent and dry quickly if they do get wet.

A breathable Tall large long sleeve shirt (min 34 length) with longer flap in the back so you can hike up and down the mountains with your shirt still tucked in your pants. Most shirts are square and short and meant not to tie tucked in. I want to keep my kidneys warm.

Not trying to bash on the elkins jacket, it has its place and for most it will probably be “a-ok” for whitetail hunting. I found some significant differences between it and the stratus:
1. Water resistance was poor due to the lack of a hood
2. Wind resistance was not on par with the stratus
3. It was a little noisier than the stratus
4. It was no where near as breathable as the stratus

These things may not make a hige difference eto most hinters, but for someone carrying in a load for a few hundred yards or more, these issues could be significant. I dont think the noise factor is a “real” issue, but the wind resistance and water resistance could play a role for some more than others. As a refernce, the stratus did not perform great in water resistance, but the available hood at least keeps water from running down your neck almost immediately.
I was able to pick up the elkins jacket on sale for 85 to my door, about 1.3 or less (less than a quarter of the retail the price of a stratus jacket.

I’m in the northeast so I’m dealing with a little different weather than down south.
I’ve got a season in on the Fairbanks parka and the Matterhorn bibs, in the disruption pattern.
They are my “stand clothes” so the weight is not an issue. They are warm, and I’ve sat in the pouring rain and was kept dry. Which is just what I was looking for.
The one thing that concerns me is that while sitting a field edge, I had a young fork horn walk out of the woods on the other side of the field 435 yards away ranged, pick me out almost immediately.
I was sitting still glassing his side as he walked out and looked directly towards me. I sat frozen as he stared at me for a moment before he walked back in to the woods.
I’ve never had that happen to me before in my realtree camo or my Kuiu Valo.
Just something to think about
He could have been standing inside the edge checking the field before he came out and possibly had seen me move or something or the pattern just stands out? Not sure.

Like every company there's a couple pieces they make that are good. My friends are sponsored by them but use the Durham pant, grayling hoodie, and I wanna say it's the Elkins or Saskatoon vest a lot. Heat boost base layers underneath to layer when it gets cold. They have good sales if you wait. It's good stuff for the money. I would say fit is "Midwest whitetail farmer" vs "elk shape CrossFiter".

I hse the Saskatoon coat. My only negative is no hood. The coat is very wind resistant and handles light rain.

I do not walk in it, does not breath but it isnt supposed to. For PA it works well.

If going out west I would replace it with a puffy.
