I am looking at upgrading the optics on my rifles. I am looking for a 12 - 15x scope on the top end with at least a 42mm objective, preferably a 44. Here is my biggest concern, good eye relief and eye box. Been trying to research and the eye relief is easy, but scopes with a good eye box (where you are not seeing black pop up around the edges with slight movement) are harder to get info on.

Right now, I am looking hard at the VX5HD GEN2 3-15X44. However, I can't find any info on the eye box. Any help with that or any other mid-tier scopes would be helpful. The older I get, the more important optics are becoming. Thanks.

I have 2 SWFA 3-9X (which are great scopes) but the eye relief and eye box is not amazing - at least to my eye. The Zeiss Conquest Line of scopes is far better in those two regards.

Steiner h6xi 2-12x42 has become a go to scope for me. Eye box is big like the vx5hd. I have a vx5 as well. And it’s hard to tell a difference between the two. Give the h6xi a good look.

@USAF Ret the Maven rs1.2 has an enormous eye box. See if you can find another rokslider near you who can let you get behind one.
Out of all the Swfa and nightforces and leupolds I’ve looked through, the maven had the most generous eye box that I can remember.
