Hunting Perks for Deployed Military

Gearing up to go overseas for a bit, I know some states offer pretty good hunting perks for the military, for example in Colorado deployed personnel get first crack at the leftover list.

I’d like to mix it up and hunt some different places in the future, just wondering what military benefits does your state offer?

Outside of discounts, I'm unaware of many...that said, if you come across more please share!

In Alaska, if you are not able to use your draw permit because you are deployed, ADFG will reissue the same permit the following regulatory year.

Tennessee allows free hunting with only leave orders…..no deployment related but I’ve always enjoyed using it.

That’s a pretty good one, never considered hunting in Tennessee but maybe one of these days.

Mostly resident based come home to hunt in Montana. They have since expanded this to mean more but keeping old drivers license valid for some has paid off too I’ve seen
