Hunting Jacket Alterations?

Wondering if anyone has ever had their hunting jackets altered before and if it affected the material performance? I got the Kuiu guide all season jacket and fits great in the body but the arm length is way too long. The size down is too small and I previously wore the Sitka jestream which is too short in the torso for me.

I do not see how adjusting the length of the sleeves would effect anything else. I would assume someone could just hem the sleeves, and move the adjustment tab for you. I had an old chinook jacket i never wore, so my mother linlaw made it into a vest for me.

if you are not able or know someone that could shorten the sleeves, you can check with your local cleaners. usually they do alterations and they are usually reasonable on the pricing
