Hunting backpack as a diaper bag?

Strange question, but does anyone have a recommendation on a hunting style backpack that could double as a decent diaper bag as well? My wife and I are expecting our second child in January. She chose the diaper bag on the first kid and it didn’t hold up too well when I would take it with the kid on adventures. I’m looking for a bag that is durable and has a fair amount of compartments on it and enough space to store enough for both kids. I also do a fair amount of rucking while pushing the stroller at the moment.

It would be nice if the bag had enough room I could slide weights in it for when I’m out on a walk with the family. Basically looking for a pack that I can use to ruck, double as a diaper bag for two kids, and when we outgrow this stage have a backpack for whatever else down the road.

I used the Kifaru Antero 2. Internal frame, enough pockets and can use as EDC or dayhunt bag.

Not really answering your question, just things to consider.

I just used a small messenger bag with my two daughters for a diaper bag. It would get shoved into a pack or thrown over my shoulder under the pack.

You need much less than you think in a diaper bag.

If your wife wants a large one, then get yourself a small one and have two.

Or, just get a new pack and uses this is an excuse. A medical pack such as the Conterra CrossBow II or a camera pack will give better organization.

For rucking I would just use your hunting frame and attach the bag to it.

I wouldn’t consider them good for hunting, but photography day packs work great as diaper bags and are available in every size. Lowepro has made decent stuff for a long time and many used photography bags don’t get much use. Our oldest has a gigantic diaper bag for the grandson with enough diapers to last a week, enough clothes for a dozen kids, extra shoes, and half of it is a catchall for unneeded food and redundant bottles. They worry about running out of something and only want to stock it once a week, but a small bag you simply check before heading out can be quite small and fit into a larger bag if needed.

I found a really small tactical looking bag that worked great, but everyone assumed it was a concealed carry bag and I got tired of parents always giving me side eye, and switched to photography bags.

We also used the Kifaru Antero. Ours was a gen 1 with a Kifaru organizer pouch. Works great.

Almost forgot, a fly fishing sling bag is also a favorite.
