I have a SAP lightweight version of the Wiebad Whiskey Charlie Mini Fortune Cookie, it's pretty light under 3 lbs but still grippy and solid. I also want to try out "The Answer" rear bag from Mr Taylor on SH, so I have that one coming.

Let us know about the Mr. Taylor

I have one stock with a bag hook, and it's an 11# 338 rum slinging 300s at 2830fps. Has a big beast brake and is not bad to shoot at all. My 10# 300norma imp with 245s at 2950 had more perceived recoil, that's in an EH1 stock. So this is my only perception between the two, however I don't think it matters much. Proper body position and shooting posture is more important for recoil management VS the bag interface with the stock.
I agree with this, even though I want you to buy the bags we make, including the Hunter’s Wedge. Trigger control and recoil management have a greater effect.

But, one you have that, you can notice the difference in having rear support. Simple works, but a few design tweaks can make bags work better in different ways.

IMO, size and shape of the bag, and the type of fill can make a noticeable difference. And, it depends on the style of buttstock as well.

When it comes to bags, what you are used to can make a bid difference. Personal preference is big.

For our selection from www.lswild.com, we have focused more on light and versatile for backcountry hunts recently. If you practice with the Mini bags or the ultralight, you can see excellent results.

Going with a smaller bag can reveal deficits in skill. I can shoot my rifle so much better with the wedge when I am zeroing and truing my data. When I switch to field positions and field bags, I see my limits.

If you want to buy and test any LS Wild or Thunderbird Long Range Bags, we’ll take care of you if you are not satisfied. Good luck with your search.
