I had woman ask me once what I was hunting. When I told her bear, she became irate and went to inform me that hunting bears was against the law in this state. When I informed her I had a bear tag, she insisted it was not allowed and told me how she knew that for a fact!

I left her on the trail and headed off into a wooded area. She saw where I was headed, and let her dog run ahead of me into the woods. I thought to myself at the time, “maybe the dog will tree a bear for me...”

FYI... that is a felony in every state .,, so may want to rethink shooting any old dog just because it isn’t on a leash and good luck proving any dog is aggressive without video, especially if the dog has zero aggressive history and sorry a dog barking and growling isn’t aggressive.
