Well came home last night from my elk trip. Saw elk sign everywhere. Played cat and mouse with them almost every day. Got into a herd in timber the other morning and the wind was swirly so we backed out as to not bump them out. Needless to say didn't get one. Learned that breathing differently with glasses is important had them fog up on a small bull the second day. Archery is a different game than rifle for sure. Learned a lot this year about elk, their movements and habits. Already can't wait until next year. Still have a deer tag to fill and my daughter has a late season cow tag close to home so that will be a fun hunt I think.
