Hunt dilemma

Had to cancel my archery hunt in Ohio for whiteys due to an issue with my vacation time (not enough!) this year.

Got a credit back for my flight which can be moved to next November...or I can head to northern cali for a blacktail hunt. Caught between a rock and a hard place, as I grew up chasing whitetails in Iowa and really miss it, however I really like to spot and stalk and think it would be great starting my hunting season in July rather than August.

Thoughts??

That's a completely personal decision, but for me, I would take a backpack hunt over a stand hunt any time.

What 7mag. said. If it were me though I would start the season early in Cali. on the blacktail and you could still hunt whitetail in your home state.
