Anybody have any experience with these bows? Thinking about biting the bullet and getting a 70-80, but having a hard time upgrading from my Switchback XT.

I did get to shoot one and it felt great, draw cycle was definitely a little harsher than the XT, and I did notice some hand shock which I have never felt in my XT. I do think that maybe the hand shock would be canceled out once sights and everything were on it as this bow had nothing but a rest. Can anyone comment on this hand shock and whether its canceled out when loaded out?

Anybody have anything in particular to share regarding their experience with the nitrum? Any XT owners out there?

i wish i kept my SBXT. that thing was magic.

i hope you at least keep your old bow.

Yeah, that's been the general consensus among former SBXT owners. I really don't think I could sell it. It just shoots so well that it's hard to let go of, but knowing that, it's hard to justify the purchase of a new rig.

I think I'm more or less on the fence about the situation and came here to see if someone could push me in one direction or the other. After all, what better way to justify spending $1000 than on the advice of total and complete strangers?

The Nitrum bows are solid shooters no doubt. I had the same experience as you when I was shooting them. I ended up getting an HTR. IMO its draw cycle and shoot-ability is very similar to the Switchback bows.

I just picked up a nitrum turbo, i know it isn't what you are looking at but I love it. I shot some other bows including the Mathews and the Nitrum 34, to me the Turbo was the perfect storm of a smooth draw, solid back wall and fast. A few of the other bows might have been a little more dead in the hand with less vibration but the Turbo was not bad at all, the 34 and mathews were a little smoother draw but again the turbo was not difficult. The trade off of not quite as smooth as some, and not quite as dead in the hands as others, was worth the trade off for a more speed in my opinion.

I bought my wife a Hoyt Nitrum 30 this year. She loves shooting it. She smoked an antelope with it Sunday evening. I have shot it a couple times and it is a very smooth bow.
