HEY EVERYONE!!

Wanted to get some numbers up for you! My CS TURBO (order date 15 Nov) just arrived yesterday and I have been trying to get some things played with for everyone and here is what I've got!

FACTORY OUT OF THE BOX:

28" DL (#2 CAM ) 70# limbs ... PEAK # 72.87 (X-Spot digital scale)

using a HAMSKEA Versa Rest in bottom limb mode:

350 gr arrow 447 gr arrow
SHOT 1 323 288
SHOT 2 322 288
SHOT 3 324 288
KINETIC 81.1 82.3

*NOTE* The 350 gr arrow was shot using a Carter Quickie and the 447 gr arrow was using Scott Longhorn BRASS Hinge release.

Thanks for the numbers!

Besides the numbers what do you think of the bow so far?

This bow was number 1 on my list for an upgrade until the hoyt tune charts were released. I'm a 27" draw and would be in the number 2 cam as well and I didn't like seeing the brace height go down to 5 3/4" with that cam for 340 fps bow.

I think its the smoothest HOYT draw i've shot in a target bow!

My brace was 5 7/8" out of the box and I removed my grip so I am sitting at 6". I haven't shot it at all past 10 feet that is still to come. I have shot 6" brace bows since 2008 and I have never had an issue personally. The biggest thing with a short brace height bow is spending the time behind it.

You can't be a last minute guy and think that on a month of shooting with it you can get away with it for the speed it simply won't happen. It takes more time and dedication to form. I believe that is the trick to a short Brace bow.

I have only shot 6" inch bh bows and I'm sure I wouldn't notice the 1/4" less that isn't really a concern for me. I just didn't like the idea of a less than 350 ibo bow with a less than 6" bh. In reality it doesn't matter if the bow shoots well. From your numbers it has good speed.

I spent some time with a cs30 as well as the elite e32 they are nice. I think I could easily add 10lbs to my draw weight with either of these new cams. The z5 cams are awesome! First hoyt I have ever liked. Best back wall and valley I have felt on any Hoyt's I have shot. However in think me shooting an elite for the last 4 years with the huge valley and back wall has ruined me. Every bow I shoot that doesn't have limb stops still feels mushy. Lol. Hopefully I can shoot a carbon spyder turbo soon.

Thanks for the numbers, love seeing real world chrono speeds. I'm torn between the faktor 30 and carbon spider 30. Had to go to 2 different shops on different weeks so waiting for a chance to try them side by side.

Have you calculated momentum on these arrow speeds?

Jtelarkin08,

What draw length?

I am running an Injexion (all carbon) 330 this year where I have been using a 400 injexion in the past. Other options:

EASTON:

Axis 300

GOLD TIP

Kinetic 300

The 300s are showing way underspined on a my spine program with 150 grains up front and the victory VAP 250s are showing really stiff with 193 grians up front.. I am 28 inch draw..

I am still waiting on my bow.. I built a few different sets for when it gets here.. I have some Kinetic 200s built up with 75 grain brass inserts..
I have some kinetic 300s built with the regular inserts
and i just ordered a half dozen VAP 250s and will put the 93 grain SS inserts on

Thanks for the info Evan.

Happy to see it come in above IBO for that DL setting, like Hoyt had claimed.

Finally decided, and just put a 70lb Max 1 CST in that DL on order. This will be my first 6" brace bow. We shall see how that goes.
