How well will a Barnes T-EZ 250 G work with 100 gr of BH209 shoot in a Knight 50 Cal Rifle @ 100 yards for Whitetail Deer?

Looking to try Barnes T-EZ 250 Grain in a DISC Extreme 50 Cal Knight Rifle. Will it perform well @ 100 yards?
Thanks

It’ll work. Probably not my first choice these days, but a good option if you want to find them in a store.

The Parker BE 250 or 275 was another 1 I was also looking at. Few sell the Parkers but maybe Parker direct & MMP Sabots.
Will see what shoots well. Was using PR Deadcenters 260 gr, was running out down to my last 3 before I switched to BH209.
Okay Thanks for the info and suggestions...

An old standby. Especially sized (bullet to bore.) Very easy to get to shoot well.
I shot some Barnes several years back. They worked ok. I wasn’t overly impressed and might have like the expanders better had I tried them.

Fury makes a good bullet as well. HP pistol bullets tend to work great as well like a Hornady xtp or Speer gold dot. Most people have moved away from those because they want something streamlined with a tip. But most of those options, at least the mainstream options, tend to be too hard. Most muzzleloaders wont push them hard enough to open up. So bullets like the sst/shockwave need some help from bone to help open them up. I like the construction of the Parker bullets, and currently use fury bullets but I use a smokeless these days. My biggest suggestion on any of them, is to stay away from powerbelts.

For whitetail, any that you mention should be fine. Easy to overthink bullets for whitetails. Yeah, direct from Parker with bulk Harvester or MMP sabots.

Thanks for your input. Never was a Powerbelt user. Started out with PR QT's 250 but ran out when using Triple7 pellets. So I am looking for something that can be easily found as PR's are not so common nor is the Deadcenters. Just hoping for a bullet that opens up decently. As for Speers I have some old ML Bullets 270 Grain 50 cal to 44 cal GDSP. No longer made. (Part # 364 is on the package) flat nose. Not much into using Bullet to Bore. Prefer a sabot to keep it simple. Switched from pellets to loose powder with BH209. So will now measure by volume which is an added task at least for me it will be.

Barnes MZ Expanders are hard to beat for Whitetail. They are pretty accurate and leave great blood trails. I have used them for years here in MD, PA and VA where I hunt every year.

Does Muzzle Velocity effect the Expansion of ML Bullets? Or are they tested for the average Muzzleloader to suggest they expand at under 2000 FPS. Not having access to a chronograph makes me wonder if speed helps once the bullet hits something to help it expand. And why some like the Barnes MZ Expanders over the Barnes Spire Tipped T-EZ Bullets. Does it matter just as long as it expands?

250gr and 290gr T-EZs shoot great in my CVA Accura, never owned a Knights.

They've killed multiple whitetails, pigs, and a Sambar while I rifle hunted with it exclusively because I was too poor to buy a second scope.

Will they stay together and expand well if you are not using the max by volume powder say 90 or 100 or 110 grains by volume not 120 most think you need to get the best out of the Barnes ML Bullets?

I’ve had amazing results with these. 15+ deer have ate these from my Encore and not moved

Not a TEZ, but here's a 250 gr Barnes TMZ loaded over 95 gr. of blackhorn by volume. Recovered from a 75-100 yard shot on a buck that was facing me. It drove damn near to the last rib before curving outward and stopping either just under the hide or between two ribs. Can't remember exactly. Should have took some pictures of the internal carnage.

Thanks but the TMZ won't go down my Barrel. Can't see buying something that needs added $ to use. Different Sabots when there aren't many that will work with a boattail bullet.
Another reason why I was inquiring about the T-EZ's as they are to be easier to get down a barrel some say.
