I remember this tip from buying Kelty years ago. I use this thing a ton so I'm wanting a long term solution.Have you tried to crimp it (the slider) a little tighter? Sometimes that's all it takes to get one to close correctly again. Take a pair of pliers and put something like thick folder paper over the slider to keep from marring it and crimp it a little and see how it does.
Send it in if you are sewing adverse. For how I am familiar, you would have to undo the stitching at the top to run the slider off the end of the coil, and then restitch once you get the new one on.Pic is upside-down.
