I can't decide how short to chop my tikka lite barrel down for my 22 creedmoor for the suppressor. I have done more reading and research on it and just second guessing myself.

What would rokslide do? If I had to decide right now, I am leaning towards 19"

I'm on the 18" for lite contour train. 18-19" sounds about right to me.

The lite contour @ 18" also is exactly the min 0.100" shoulder dimension for 9/16 threads IIRC so that is part of the reason i've gone to that direction.

This is from another member, what he had done. I’m planning on the same thing.

What bullet, what range, and what on the muzzle?
80 ELDX, but may play with the 77 TMK. I would love for the upcoming Hornady Factory Ammo 80eldx to be a winner and not have to worry as much about reloading.

In the mountains realistically, this is 600 and in...I am wanting to use this as a primary wolf rifle that also gets to shoot deer and antelope. Harvester Evo on the muzzle.

Not a 22 Creed and not a Tikka but I had my 22-250 chopped to 18in and run it suppressed 100% of the time and couldn't be happier with the length. The only downside is these bigger case capacity 22's like a 22CM or 22-250 is when you shorten them up this must they definitely get louder. I run a SAS Barricade can on my 22-250 shorty and I can shoot it without ear protection a couple times but much more and I am definitely looking for some ear protection but even with that I would absolutely chop it to 18 inches again so my vote would be 18in.

Harvester evo says it comes with 1/2x28 direct thread mount on Sico's website. Do you need to use 5/8s because the can has that for other rifles as well?

That setup that Karl does does look clean but it appears to also add length to the whole setup. Doesn't seem like a functionally better arrangement than using a basic thread adapter, if anything the opposite because unnecessary length gets added.

At that range I’d probably give the 88 a try too.

My 16.5 will make over 3000fps with a 77tmk very comfortably. 88s are going almost 2900.

I wouldn’t go over 18 with a suppressor though.

If you’re going to run saami spec ammo make sure to get an appropriate chamber.

Threading a 22 cal 1/2” is fine.
