How repeatable is a picatinny rail?

Has anyone had experience switching out scopes on picatinny rail and maintaining zero?

The rings are more variable than the rail. If the rings lock back in the pic rail nice and tight, torque up correctly, being within. 5moa is easily attainable.

If you are using a vert split or an equalizing base type ring....all bets are off. It'll be close, but more variable.
