how much food to bring

A big boy like you and this is all you're eating?! I need 3000-3200 calories a day without hunting just to maintain... damn A3D quit starving yourself!

I hear what you're saying, but if I eat more than that I feel like I will puke. The only time I could would be at night right before laying down to rest for the night, just to give it time to digest. That's where another MH meal may come into play.

Take into account I only eat 2000-2200 on an average day all year long.

I also have a hard time finding other sources of calories that I don't get tired of eating up there. Especially when talking backpack foods, now give me my fifth wheel or a main camp and I'm eating some great meals!

What suggestions would you have? ( don't like oatmeal or powdered milk)

You could try adding some candy bars like snickers, they should have more to offer than the cookies do and hold up better in a pack.
Ramen for lunch is a nice change as well, nothing like something warm when you are getting a bit cool glassing
another lunch option that might give you more are bagels instead of the flat bread

I could do the candy bars and ramen, but haven't found a bagel I like yet.
Tried peanut butter and bacon sandwiches a couple years, after the first one I avoid them because I can't make myself choke them down so I cut that out this year.

peanut butter and bacon does not sound right at all!

Have you thought about smoked salmon or tuna fish? The weight sucks but they both offer a lot of nutritional value.

I carry both salmon and tuna, I also would carry a couple of PB Bacon and honey sandwiches. You can't have too much of one thing or it does get old thats for sure.

For breakfast I mix 1-2 Carnation Instant Breakfast with 2-3 instant coffee in a Nalgene bottle with boiling water and shake.

Typically I only drink about half the bottle before I start walking. I save the second half for when I am sitting and waiting for the sun to rise or glassing later in the morning as the warm drink is nice as the body starts to cool back down.

I should probably add I am not a huge breakfast eater.
