How many people are happy running a single kifaru pack for all situations? Which is your go to?

I'm 5 ft 9 in and have a 24in tactical frame. It's great. I have a reckoning on it and it'll do whatever you need it to. The one thing I don't like is how "strappy" it is, so make sure to not lose your strap keepers. You'll also want to view their YouTube channel for how to mate it to the frame.

I also have a brand new Stryker but have not yet used it.

I also have a Hellcat. It is a great nimble pack for day hikes and navigating through timber.

Daily I use a Checkpoint to take everything to and from work and as a carry-on on flights. Great pack.

In short I have quite a few of them and love them all for different reasons.

The AMR is the best do it all bag for me. Sadly, they don’t offer it anymore. Maybe they’ll start back making it.

Duplex Timberline 2. Got it when it first came out about 8 years ago, been using it every year since. High quality gear, looks nearly new. (Actually started with a DT3, went with the DT2 for a little more room.)
Those are the only two Kifaru bags I’ve owned. This before they started coming out with a new bag every year or so. Works great, so no need to change, or chase the latest and supposed greatest. They’re all great.

I have been using my reckoning for the last 3 years. I had a woodsman and a cargo panel and guide lid I used for a bit as well. For me the reckoning had the layout I like and enough room for elk quarters and extras since I hunt solo and I can pack an entire mulie or whitetail out with ease. But it’s also great for turkeys too.

Very rarely do I switch from my Nomad. 7+ day trips, I'll throw the Fulcrum on. I've considered the Straight Jacket, but put my hands on one the other day and decided I still preferred the Nomad set up with a Sherman for my likings.

I am using the Cavern as my do-all bag, but I do kind of miss my AMR, and also kind of wish I had picked up a Crater before it was discontinued. I like the bigger bags, because even with a meat shelf, I prefer putting the meat inside the bag.

The mountain warrior and a guide lid works great for me for everything. Cinches down great for a day pack, but still hav access to pockets to get stuff. Also works great for all the backpack trips I do. I’ve done tons of
1-10 day backpack trips, and never felt like I wanted a different pack.

Yep, bring back the Mountain Warrior, even if only in Ranger Green. Great pack.

I have an emr2 and timberline with a guide lid. Both work great but if I had just 1 it would be the larger emr2. If I had the choice of mine plus the new models I would get a Mae deuce.

I have emr2 and HC7000 bags with the original guide lid with the first generation duplex hunter frame with carbon stays. The emr2 bag is my go to bag for all hunts. It’s not perfect, but the center zip and back stuff pouches are features i like most and keep me from changing bags.

if they made the reckoning at 7000 ci and put the emr2 stuff pouches on it, I think that would be a great bag. Or do the same on the discontinued Crater bag.

Bought a Nomad in 2014, along with the grab it, and guide lid. Packed I don't even know how many dozens of Bull Elk with it, never had a single failure of a buckle or strap. Not in the market for a replacement any time soon.

I'm running a 26" frame with a cargo panel, camp bag, guide lid, and a few pockets (small, medium, and side). This allows me to run just the lid and cargo panel for day trips/pack outs and run the rest when I'm going on longer trips. so far, it's done everything I need it to do.

Count me in. My Hoodlum does it all! From day hunts, to road hunts, to backcountry hunts, to spot n stalk hunts, to deer hunts, to Barbery Sheep hunts, to elk hunts, from high plains hunts to high altitude hunts and all hunts in between. And all the other hunts and scouting trips in between. Kifaru screwed themselves with this pack. I'll never have to buy another pack i did a side by side. Comparison with my 9 year old DT1 last Septemberin the elkwoods and the Hoodlum is the clear cut winner just because of the ease of access.
