So I do not at all consider myself a ‘saddle guy’ or a ‘one sticker’. I do have a saddle and have used them off and on for a long time.
I did put together a ‘1 stick’ for going into very remote areas with a saddle. With a movable aider as well, standing on the ground I can get the top of the stick about 6.5’ or so high. I can climb it, easily attach my tether and move the stick up 1 time and be hunting anywhere from 10’-12’ with minimal effort/movement/noise, which is about as high as I normally hunt anyways.

But TBH I am not sure I will even use it much since I also have a LW hand climber top and it is less combersome, larger platform, similar weight…
I would absolutely hate for a 1 stick/saddle to be my only whitetail ‘stand’ option. Period.
I got the Beast stand and I know it isn’t cheap but it is a phenomenal piece of equipment. I run two standard (24”?) beast sticks with cable aiders and a movable aider (swaider?? Can’t remember) and I am able to easily get 15+’ platform height and can always ‘1 stick’ up a bit higher if I need (rarely do I hunt that high). I would say this setup may be the most versatile setup I have ever run and it comes in right about 14lbs total (can’t remember exactly but it is light)
